 Laura
Koch Davis
started competitive swimming
at age 10 in Sugar Land, was
a High School All-American
in 1994, and went on to earn
an academic/athletic
scholarship to attend Iona
College in New Rochelle, NY.
While at Iona she set
numerous school records, was
team captain for swimming
and water polo, won Most
Valuable and Most Dedicated
Honors throughout her
collegiate career, named
MAAC Conference Champ, and
All-Academic Water polo
1999. She graduated from
Iona in 1998 with a B.A. in
History, and Iona Graduate
School in 2000 with an MST
in History/Education.
Laura
joined WMST in 2006 and has
been active in Masters
swimming since 2002. She is
ranked Top Ten nationally
and FINA in numerous events,
and also serves as a
delegate for the Marketing
committee. She started her
coaching career while in
high school for summer
league teams and has worked
with many USA, USMS, and
Summer league teams in New
York and Texas since 1993.
Laura is also a certified
USA, USMS, and ASCA
Coach. She even started her
own USA and USMS teams while
living in Austin in 2006 and
helped her swimmers obtain
Junior National and TAGS
times in less than 5 months.
She is the Head Coach of
Swim Streamline which she
formed in September 2008 in
Northampton, Swim Lesson
Director, and also coaches
Masters for WMST at the
Conroe ISD Pool, and also at
Northampton. She is looking
forward to her 2nd season
with the Northampton Cudas
as Head Coach with a
talented group of coaches.

After home summer league meets on Monday nights we would all go for pizza and ALL TIME favorite swim memory is winning the 200 fly at Long Course nationals and getting proposed to! I received a diamond ring and a gold medal...hard to top this! |

Well I didn’t get to have many Cuda memories but I enjoyed racing Coach Laura last year in the 50 meter breast stroke. She talks but she just couldn’t pull out the win in the end! |

I love country music which is why Nashville is perfect for me! I don’t necessarily have a favorite group but I love Outlaw Country (Willie, Waylon, etc) and I also love Texas Country (Casey Donahew Band, Pat Green, Cory Morrow, etc.). Sorry for not being too specific but it’s a hard question! |

I don't know if I have JUST ONE favorite memory, I did love writing and singing "Don't Stop Swimming" last year. Getting excited with the team after we won divisionals was a blast and a perfect ending to my final swimming season. I also will never forget hearing Mrs. Tobias cheer, you could hear her underwater!

Championships he
broke 2 Masters

the 200 Back and
200 Mixed
